Kara is an accomplished nursing professional with over 20 years of integrative medicine experience. She obtained her Nurse Practitioner degree at Georgetown University and earned her M.Ed. in Exercise Science, and B.S.N. from Cleveland State University. She has completed additional coursework in exercise science at the doctoral level at The Ohio State University.
She has an equally accomplished background in teaching, instructing students in wellness, exercise physiology, and human performance in endurance athletes.
She has extensive experience with optimizing hormones, weight loss, energy, thyroid, adrenal function, pre-diabetes, gastrointestinal function, and inflammation with a holistic functional approach. She is certified in bio identical hormone pellet therapy.
She is also a veteran marathon coach and has completed over fifty marathons, seven in Boston and three half Ironman triathlons. She has two young sons who also share her love of sports and the outdoors, as well as a vegetarian diet.
Kara shares a true passion for wellness and is able to combine that with her professional expertise. Kara is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
