Josh Hunter graduated from St. Mary's College of Maryland with a B.A. in Biology and went on to earn a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health. Josh is a National Health Service Corps Scholar and has provided care to rural, underserved patient populations across the country including Alaska, Montana and Maine.
Following graduation, Josh worked for Unity Health Care in Washington, D.C. providing primary and urgent care to at risk, underserved patients in community clinics, homeless shelters and jails for over five years.
Josh then went on to serve the Southern Maryland patient population by becoming a Hospitalist at the University of Maryland Charles County Regional Medical Center, where he has currently worked for almost two years providing inpatient care to some of the region’s most acutely ill patients.
In 2012 Josh graduated from Nova Southeastern University with the degree of Doctor of Health Science and has since gone on to become an Adjunct Professor for the Department of Biology at the College of Southern Maryland where he teaches such courses as Anatomy and Physiology to Allied Health students.
By working at Orthopedic and Wellness, Josh looks forward to further serving Southern Maryland and making it a healthier community.
