How did you hear about American Spine Center and our providers?
Dr. Sherlekar was treating my daughter due to complications from surgery. Dr. Sherlekar was
referred to us.

How did your pain affect your life before?
To sum it up, I did not have much of a life. It took everything I had just to get through work
everyday. After work, I just sat around and did whatever it took just not to be in pain. At this
time pain and medications were my life.

What things were you unable to do or not enjoy due to your pain?
I am a very active person, always involved in sports either playing or coaching. I was not able
to do that anymore. Even riding in a car was unbearable.

How was your visit with physician and providers before your surgery?
From the first time I saw Dr. Sherlekar I felt like I was family. He and his staff made (what
is usually a nightmare anywhere else) an office visit something that I looked forward to. Dr.
Sherlekar has a system and staff that really works.

Explain your recovery time after the surgery?
Recovery did not seem like recovery. Most experiences I have had were not very good. Dr.
Sherlekar sat down with me and explained everything from start to finish. Everything went just
as he said it would and my recovery was very easy. Within 2 weeks I saw a huge difference, 4
weeks, I was a little sore. 6 weeks, I was pain free and I felt like a new person. Or better said,
I felt like my old self. Something I thought was gone forever.

What things did are you able to do now that you have had the surgery?
I can honestly say I can do whatever I feel like doing. The sky is the limit. I felt like I did when I
was in my prime.

How has it changed your life?
It has not changed my life. Dr. Sherlekar has given me my life back. The change is no pain
and I have zero back pain.

What would you tell someone who is experiencing the same things you have prior your

Worrying and being afraid is normal. Wondering if it will work or get worse. I would tell them
give Dr. Sherlekar 20 minutes of your time. You will leave him with a positive attitude and will
see a light at the end of the tunnel. He is one doctor who really cares and is very passionate
about his work. Your well being is his main concern. Everything Dr. Sherlekar has told me has
become a reality. The doctor has given me something I thought I would never see again. I will
always be in debt to him. You just can’t put a price on that.
